Hi, there. It’s Harry with my Kitty Korner Column #11. Thank you for reading about my adventures with Debbie and her family. Today is my birthday and my sister’s. It isn’t the actual day, but it’s the day Debbie celebrates meeting us at the Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe last October. We were 3 months old, so now we are a year old and full-grown cats.
To celebrate our special day, Debbie got us some fun gifts. There was an assortment of toys including my favorite catnip sticks and toy mice for Hermione.
We also got a new cat teaser. We still have “Da Bee” which is one of our favorite playthings, but now Debbie got us “Da Fish.” Can’t wait to reel it in.
Another interesting birthday gift for us was the Catit treat toy. Both Hermione and I, and even Stripey, enjoy this gift.
We also got another puzzle toy that doesn’t include treats, but is still fun because little creatures pop up if you pull the levers. I still have to master this.
Then there’s this bug toy that moves by itself. We all really love it, but it gets stuck in some places, so Debbie has to supervise when we play with it.
We also got some combs and brushes to keep me and Stripey looking handsome and Hermione looking beautiful. They feel great, too.
But, of all our new toys, our favorite is the big box they came in.
There were two other gifts that Debbie gave in honor of our first birthdays, but they weren’t for us. The first was for her readers — two free ebooks of her mysteries that are available until Monday, July 22. You can get her Cobble Cove cozy mystery, Love on the Rocks here., and her mystery thriller, Reason to Die, here.
The last but not least gift that Debbie gave in honor of our birthdays is a fundraiser for the Golden Paw Society, the rescue from which we came, so that other kittens and cats like us can find wonderful homes with loving families like we did. To help Debbie give this gift, you can donate any amount until Wednesday, July 24, here.
Thank you for making our birthday purrfect.
