Meow, there, Mr. Cat. What is your name and your author’s name?
My name is Sammie, my author’s name is Stasie Fishman.
Mice to meet you. What book(s) have you appeared in? Please list them and their genre.
Not yet, but my sister’s book will come out soon.
Yes I am a real cat. I am a pure bred cat called a Bombay. We are black. I have a few disabilities with partial vision loss in one eye. This is my true story of how I found a furrevver home.
You’ll have to excuse me, but I’m used to interviewing cat characters like myself, but this is quite a pleasure to interview a real cat and one with such an interesting story. My author has a black cat, too, but he’s not a Bombay. He’s just a run-of-the-mill shorthair, but he’s a handsome boy named Harry and a rescue, too.
The most important thing is to hear my story from my point of view and how I felt. It is great to let children and adults know what we go through as homeless cats and how we all want a family and to love and be loved. We hope to inspire kindness and compassion to all people so when you see any cats outside you won’t shoo them away but be considerate that they are only there by no fault of their own.
That I can help people learn about kindness to animals and to the cats when they see them outside that they are without a home.
A worth cause indeed.
Are you a talking cat in your books or just a silent one like I am who just meows occasionally?
You hear about my story as I have witten it. I do not meow a lot or make a lot of noise as I am kind of shy.
I’m sure your voice rings loud and clear.
What advice would you give other cat characters?
yes, my sister’s story will be out in the fall, Bettinna’s Tail, Her story of rescue.
I’ll keep an eye out for it. Mabye Bettinna would like an interview at that time.
